A Quick Detox for the Lazybones, the Impatient, Etc.
Hey health-dreamers, are you scared of prolonged detox methods and regimens? Well, I am too! I visited many natural detox experts, dieticians, weight-loss consultants and nutrition experts who have detox programs which included fasting for many (actually too many) days, drink juices of various fruits and veggies which I hadn’t ever heard of and most importantly, cutting down my favorite junk foods totally! Actually I am not good at keeping patience and doing something for prolonged periods is not my cup of tea. At last, I consulted my friend with much depressed mind and she advised me to cut it short. I am now practicing as per her advice, which I tell you here. See if you too can do it. It is good for people like you and me who are not so persistent. And to tell you a secret, I am growing more patient etc after starting this. Seems like it is working for me, in some or the other way!
Go on getting fiber: While you cannot live without junks, you also remember to take in as much fiber as possible. They are in brown rice, organic fruits and veggies (fresh and raw), etc. So… I can eat brown bread, brown rice and a lot of fruits and have started that along with the junks. And it is wonderful to experience that my craving for junk food has actually lessened. I go on stuffing myself with carrots, lettuces, beetroots and whatever fruits I get. I drink plenty of fruit juices too nowadays, and feel actually light and bouncy! Heck, am I dreaming?
Vitamin C: I am sure you too love lemonade and orange juice, just like I do. So, go on grabbing them! They are full of vitamin C which is a potent detoxifier as they call it!
Deep Breaths: Deep breathing is also a detox activity as told by my friend. So, I practice that too. And I should agree that I feel better, confident, less anxious, etc. etc.
Water: Drinking a lot of water was never a problem for me, as I was in a habit of drinking a lot of it from the beginning. So, this clause too I could adopt quickly. If you forget to drink water every now and then, keep a bottle handy wherever you go, so that whenever you see it, you will remember to drink it. Water flushes out the garbage from our body, just like it does from everywhere else.
Sauna: My friend told me that sweat removes a lot of toxins from our body. And I was not ready to sweat through heavy exercising. So, she suggested a better option for a lazybones like me of sauna. And wow! I loved it and I still love it! Now, I regularly go for a sauna and feel great!
So, if you are feeling a need of detox, but are not ready to undergo a prolonged healthy regimen of fasting, exercises and other physically troublesome activities, the shortcut I adopted might be good for you. Just try it and tell me how you feel!
