Enzymes are one of the most important substances among them to an extent that they are necessary for our every action, right from blinking to breathing. By and large, enzymes can be referred to as our life force, because in their absence we are sure to die. Enzymes are even helpful in digesting food and breaking down and removing worn out and diseased tissues from the body. Thus when enzyme levels are low, diseased cells and tissues are not thrown out from the body and remain inside.

If we look at today’s diets, most of them are enzyme deficient and therefore, most of the people are deficient in enzymes. This in turn means that our bodies are not regularly detoxified in a natural way of our old and diseased tissues. This leads to increasing number of health problems.

Deep detoxification is an effective solution to the problem of increasing health issues because it removes old and useless tissues. Therefore detoxification is recommended in most of health problems. Foot detox is an effective way of detoxification. Another solution is to increase the intake of enzymes through diet. When enzyme stock builds up in the body, body’s natural detox process starts working. Besides, enzymes also provide life force and energy to us.

To boost up enzyme stock in the body, plenty of raw foods should be consumed. When we cook food, heating and other processes destroy the enzymes naturally present in the food substances. In raw food, enzymes remain intact. The more you eat raw foods, the less your body requires enzymes from outside sources. This lets more enzymes to remain free for tasks like breaking down old cells and removing them from body. And of course, raw foods are anytime better than the processed, pesticide-laden foods.

Some foods are laden with enzymes and eating them regularly is a key to good health. Some of them are:

  • Papaya – especially green papaya and its seeds
  • Sprouts
  • Pineapple
  • Unpasteurized sauerkraut  

You can even prepare a simple enzyme drink for consuming every day:

Blend ½ papaya, about 20 papaya seeds and 1/3 pineapple together and add a bit of stevia to sweeten it, if desired.

Besides breaking down old tissues and proteins in the body, papaya seeds are famous for taking care of intestinal parasites.

A word of caution:

Avoid papaya and its seeds if you are pregnant or trying to have a baby because they are potent abortive agents. So also, avoid Hawaiian papaya, because some of them are genetically modified. Have only organic papaya.
