Studies show that 45 minutes of gardening reduces more weight than that with 30 minutes of aerobics! Isn’t it wonderful? You don’t have to toil a lot in the garden. Once you set up a garden, the daily gardening includes just watering, trimming down those plants which have unequally grown and removing dry or yellowed leaves. Maintaining lawns, putting manure and pesticides, planting new plants, etc are the chores which you can do weekly or monthly or with longer intervals as required. But the daily chores like watering plants give you good exercise, making you delighted at the sight of freshened up leaves and flowers.

Exercise in the Garden

Rather than exercising in a gym, if you exercise in your garden, it not only offers you health of body, but also health of mind. You need not even set up very hi-fi equipment. Even some benches and a jogging track are enough! How? You can do pushups and pull-ups on the benches. And you can jog in the garden. Even these exercises are enough. And if you want more of them, you are free to set up as many gadgets as you like, such as parallel bars, beams, conditioning ladders, weighted rollers, dumbbells, jump ropes and many more.

Eat Healthy with Your Garden

When you wish to lose weight, you need to eat healthy in form of a lot of green veggies and fruits. Your garden can be an easy source for these. You can grow veggies, like spinach, tomato, carrot, radish, beet, peas, lettuce, onion and many others. And believe me, garden-fresh veggies have incredible taste! Even you can grow fruit trees, if you are that passionate. They will need a little more maintenance though.

 

What Else Do You Want for Weight-loss?

So, you can see that all the components included in a weight-loss program are offered by your garden. Exercise, healthy foods and the much desired elation and relaxation, which you hardly get from a diet-program!
