Once that clot occurs the brain will be deprived of blood and also the neccesary oxygen causing perment brain harm to that area. People may have “mini strokes” by which they suffer from the same warning signs but are only momentary. It is important to help inform the casualty them to should go see a doctor asap because they are in a very high risk of suffering from a full stroke through which they will suffer lasting brain damage.

Here are a few signs of a stroke. Paralysis on one side belonging to the body or face, slurred dialog (due to partial facial paralysis), dizziness, confusion, imbalanced sized pupils or alterations in levels of conciousness.

Below are a few questions you can ask the casualty that you are expecting to have acquired a stroke.

1. Question them to smile. If they cannot smile fully it may be because they have a partial face paralysis.

2. Ask them questions that they need to respond to. If these are incoherent or slur their speech they might have partial paralysis towards the face or they are usually confused.

3. Ask these individuals to raise both biceps. If they cannot raise both arms they will often have paralysis to one side in their body.

This will help you identify facial weakness, limb weakness and speech complications. The quicker you realize the signs of stroke the faster you may get them to the hospital and reduce the probabilities of getting permenant neural damage.
